    Amazon Stores Dedicated Security Team (DST) is seeking a highly motivated and driven Principal Technical Program Manager to lead initiatives aimed at improving Amazon Stores's Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) program and driving organizational business process optimization. This role will focus on driving effectiveness and efficiency in the security integrations of newly acquired Business Units (BU).

     

    DST partners with multiple stakeholders as we enable security onboarding for BUs. Strong partnership, and close coordination, is critical for success in this role. Additionally, the team is developing a multi-year roadmap where we aim to improve the efficacy and efficiency of our security integration program, of which this role will directly enable.

     

    If you are passionate about working simultaneously with stakeholders across Amazon, continuously improving existing mechanisms while building new ones, and driving partnerships to reimagine Day 1 security onboarding for new BUs, this role could be for you. You should also be comfortable working directly with VPs and SVPs to drive risk and security trade-off discussions.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Own and develop security and service strategy for integration of newly-acquired Amazon BUs

     

    - Aligning security and service strategy with Amazon Security (AmSec) objectives and working backwards to reduce deviations from standard practices and requirements

     

    - Build mechanisms to collect voice of customers and continuous feedback loops with key stakeholders to ensure close to Day 1 onboarding of all standard Amazon security services for new BUs

     

    - Consolidate and execute DST level Monthly Business Review (MBR), Quarterly Business Review (QBR), run quarterly planning sessions at org level and drive organizational level initiatives for supporting our customers

     

    - Manage contractual agreements with vendors and other suppliers

     

    - Manage dependencies inside and outside of the team to drive responsiveness, remove barriers for the team to execute aligned project plan and business need-by dates

     

    - Identify and escalate risks, manage issues through resolution

     

    - Lead executive-level reviews for M&A and DST Business Security Team programs

     

    - Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.

     

    - Build feedback and review mechanisms for DST to learn from partner teams to continuously improve team services

     

    - Drive regular program reviews and status updates with key stakeholders

     

    - Serve as the process owner and drive DST rhythm of business operations

    The Dedicated Security Team onboards newly-acquired business units and serves as the Business Security Team (BST) within Stores, Devices, and Other (SDO) supporting a variety of Amazon business units (BU) that do not reside within other established BST organizations. We provide cross-cutting services to integrate security solutions into BU products and services and upholds Amazon’s high security bar. We are a cross functional team of world-class security engineers, software engineers, product managers, applied scientists, and program managers that strive to innovate and drive long-term value for our customers and the company.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 10+ years of technical product or program management experience

     

    - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

     

    - 5+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

     

    - 5+ years experience leading, executing, and delivering complex security programs

     

    - Ability to ensure functionality and tradeoffs in terms of scalability, maintainability, extensibility, performance, and security

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

     

    - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

     

    - Experience with mergers and acquisitions and security due diligence

     

    - Masters degree in a related field preferred.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
