Minimum Qualifications:

+ Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (Client requires a copy of this).

+ Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.

+ 10+ years as a Red Hat System Administrator.

+ 10+ years of experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.

+ 15+ years of Information Technology experience.

Required Skills, Experience & Capabilities:

Experience with:

+ Working in a complex networked system environment with strong networking

+ Administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems

+ Administering systems including, but not limited to, the applications below:

+ Oracle WebLogic Servers

+ Oracle Database Servers

+ Progress 4GL/Database Servers/OpenEdge

+ Apache Web Servers

+ vSphere hosted RHEL Servers.

+ Rubrik backup systems.

+ Oracle Database backups.

+ PeopleSoft

+ Mobius

+ Elastic Search

+ Oracle OBI

+ CVS (Concurrent Version System)

+ Red Hat performance tuning

+ Load balancing, partitioning, back-up/recovery, and disaster recovery

+ Working in an environment that requires 24/7 system availability

+ Application development

+ Red Hat Support

+ Electronic Imaging Support

Ability to:

+ Work in a team environment.

+ Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel.

+ Demonstrate leadership skills.

+ Interface with users and helpdesk for day-to-day support.

+ Provide Backup/recovery and networking methodologies.

+ Troubleshoot at the Operating System (OS), database, and application levels.

Scope of Work:

+ Installing, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development, testing, and production environments.

+ Performing system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening to ensure compliance with industry standards.

+ Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.

+ Implementing automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline system administration tasks.

+ Configuring and maintaining Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and other Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) ecosystem tools.

+ Collaborating with security teams to ensure systems are protected against vulnerabilities and comply with security policies.

+ Maintaining and optimizing storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.

+ Supporting application teams by providing guidance on best practices for Linux-based deployments.

+ Maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

+ Participating in on-call support and incident resolution activities as required.

+ Setup Network File Server (NFS) and mount points.

+ Configuring Chron jobs for both systems and applications.
