Arnot Health is seeking a caring and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatrics team in Horseheads, NY. In this vital role, you’ll play an important part in delivering compassionate, family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents in an outpatient setting.

Sign-On Bonus Available — Up to $12,500! What You'll Do:

+ Provide pediatric nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Pediatric Provider.

+ Collect and document patient health information, including height, weight, vital signs, and immunization records.

+ Administer childhood immunizations and medications (oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous) per provider orders.

+ Assist with procedures such as hearing/vision screenings, developmental assessments, and point-of-care testing.

+ Educate families on wellness visits, chronic condition management, medication use, and developmental milestones.

+ Coordinate referrals, specialist appointments, and follow-up care.

+ Maintain a calm, supportive environment for patients and their families.

+ Participate in care team meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.

+ Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols and safety procedures.

What We're Looking For:

+ Graduate of an accredited LPN program.

+ Current New York State or Pennsylvania LPN license (required).

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).

+ Previous pediatric or outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with young patients and their caregivers.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to family-centered care.

Physical Demands:

+ Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting while caring for pediatric patients.

+ Engaged in hands-on patient care and assisting in procedures.

Exposure Category:

Category I – Tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. Compliance with universal precautions is required.
