Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This is a temp to hire position that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations and is 100% ONSITE. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding to the general ledger and appropriate cost centers.

• Reconcile purchase orders with invoices to verify correct billing and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

• Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve payment-related issues efficiently.

• Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transactions.

• Utilize Excel formulas and functions to manage data and generate reports as needed.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

• Monitor outstanding payables and ensure timely payments to vendors.

• Assist in process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable workflow.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in coding invoices and assigning them to appropriate cost centers and general ledger accounts.

• Familiarity with purchase orders and their reconciliation with invoices.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and data management.

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Previous experience in process improvement within accounts payable is a plus.
