Job Title: Buyer / Purchasing Agent (Temp-to-Hire)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $50,000 – $80,000 DOE

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in a Contract-to-Permanent position. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in manufacturing and procurement. As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in sourcing materials, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient purchasing processes to support operational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee procurement activities for materials, parts, and supplies within a manufacturing environment.

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery.

• Utilize ERP systems such as Epicor, Oracle, or similar platforms to manage procurement and inventory.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to enhance partnership and reliability.

• Address and resolve issues related to delivery delays, shortages, or quality discrepancies.

• Support cost-saving initiatives and process improvements in purchasing operations.

• Monitor purchasing trends and market conditions to make informed decisions.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the procurement process.

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align purchasing strategies with organizational objectives.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing setting.

• Proficiency in ERP systems, including Epicor, Oracle, or similar tools.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate a sense of urgency in handling tasks.

• Proven problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges.

• Familiarity with accounting functions such as accounts payable and cost analysis.

• Experience with buying processes and inventory management.

• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
