Litigation Legal Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Assistant to join a dynamic law firm in Denver, Colorado. This role involves supporting a busy commercial litigation practice, including assisting with pre-trial preparation, trial activities, and managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and has a strong understanding of federal and state court procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file legal documents in both federal and state courts, ensuring compliance with all e-filing requirements.
• Provide pre-trial and trial support, including coordinating materials, managing deadlines, and assisting attorneys in court.
• Manage schedules and calendars for multiple attorneys, including court dates, client meetings, and depositions.
• Organize and maintain legal records, documents, and correspondence in a systematic and accessible manner.
• Assist with the production and review of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to coordinate case management and ensure deadlines are met.
• Follow ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality as outlined by the Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Utilize legal and administrative software, including Microsoft Office Suite, iManage, and DocuSign, to streamline workflows.
• Handle client communications professionally, maintaining strong relationships and addressing inquiries promptly.
Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm setting, specifically in litigation.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state court procedures, including e-filing requirements.
• Proficiency in using legal software such as Microsoft Office, iManage, Elite, and DocuSign.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple attorneys and a high volume of caseloads effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
• Experience in pre-trial preparation and providing trial assistance.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
