    Description

    On behalf of our client, a very successful retail organization located in Artesia, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing Accounting team.

     

    Please note that their working schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM

    Job Summary:

    The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments, for multiple locations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Review and verify invoices and check requests

    + Match invoices, get approvals, scan and organize virtual files.

    + Enter and upload invoices into the system

    + Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments

    + Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

    + Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

    + Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries

    + Assist with month-end closing and audits

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred

    + 5+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience

    + Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and principles

    + Proficiency in QuickBooks desktop.

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Strong communication and problem-solving skills
