Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to lead and oversee the accounts payable operations for our organization in Saco, Maine. This role involves managing a team of specialists, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting processes. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense approvals.

• Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating accounts payable staff while identifying opportunities for skill development.

• Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting guidelines to minimize financial risk and ensure compliance.

• Assist with corporate financial reporting, budgeting, and other accounting tasks in collaboration with Staff Accountants and the Controller.

• Review and verify that accounts payable entries are accurately recorded in the correct general ledger accounts and departments with proper documentation.

• Ensure all approvals and source documents are archived systematically for easy retrieval and reference.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounts payable operations.

• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the organization’s financial objectives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of three years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role is essential.

• Proven ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
