Description

Our client in downtown Houston is looking for an AR Specialist to join their team. This role will be 100% onsite and they are hoping to convert this candidate to a permanent hire after the contract period.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively communicate with customers prior to invoice due dates to ensure timely payments.

• Maintain and update customer communication information and expected pay dates in the ERP system.

• Persistently and professionally request payment from customers.

• Apply customer payments within the ERP system.

• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.

• Process credit card payments and credits.

• Prepare and communicate Accounts Receivable-related reports.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external customers to facilitate payment and resolve issues.

• Adapt to a dynamic environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To be considered you must have the following experience:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential

• Experience with Billing Functions is required

• Demonstrated ability to handle Cash Activity

• Familiarity with Check Processing is necessary

• Experience with Credit Card Payments is a must

• Proficiency in Prophet 21 software is preferred

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
