Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. This is a Contract to permanent position offering the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and focused environment. The role involves managing key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger to support financial accuracy.

• Process invoices and payments efficiently, adhering to company policies.

• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with multi-state tax and government agency filing requirements.

• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and financial reports.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to support overall financial operations and reporting.

• Utilize proprietary accounting systems and tools to streamline workflows and maintain data integrity.

• Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data and create detailed reports. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Strong proficiency in bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entry preparation.

• Experience with payroll processing and multi-state tax filing requirements.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets.

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Ability to work onsite at the corporate headquarters in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
