    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Amherst, NY)


    Description We are currently seeking a Tax Sr. - Corporate to join our team based in AMHERST, New York. The role involves working within the finance industry, with a primary focus on the preparation of tax provision working papers and overseeing tax engagements. As part of your responsibilities, you will also be required to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, including company staff, government auditors, and external tax service providers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of tax provision working papers, including note disclosures and reconciliation of all tax accounts, in compliance with IFRS

    • Coordinate effectively with external tax service providers to manage tax engagements, filings, and compliance with tax authorities in the U.S. and Canada

    • Assist the Director of Tax in addressing queries from a range of external and internal stakeholders, including government auditors and company staff

    • Collaborate closely with the Corporate Finance team to budget, reforecast and monitor annual cash taxes, ensuring transparency with the treasury function

    • Support the Director of Tax in implementing the Company’s strategic initiatives

    • Stay updated with proposed new tax legislation that could impact the Company and its ownership group

    • Conduct other ad hoc financial and tax analyses as needed, using skills like CCH ProSystem Fx and Ad Hoc Reporting. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the corporate tax field.

    • Proficient in CCH ProSystem Fx software.

    • Demonstrated ability in Ad Hoc Reporting.

    • Proven experience in ensuring Compliance.

    • Skilled in Corporate Income Tax procedures.

    • Experience in Corporate Tax Compliance.

    • Proficient understanding of IFRS Accounting.

    • Knowledge in IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Standards is required.
