Description

We are partnering with a national law firm that is looking to bring an experienced Litigation Assistant/Paralegal on board in their Richmond office. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits, supporting a collaborative and close-knit litigation team that specializes in complex catastrophic injury litigation, negligence cases, mass tort matters, regulatory compliance, and freight disputes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive support for all aspects of litigation, including drafting legal documents and preparing for trial

• File court documents accurately and within appropriate deadlines to ensure seamless court proceedings

• Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed and updated on case progress

• Participate actively in complex litigation cases, contributing to strategy development and implementation

• Handle mass tort cases, providing thorough research and analysis to strengthen our client's position

• Manage cases involving negligence and wrongful death claims, ensuring all legal procedures are strictly adhered to

• Utilize knowledge of both federal and state court systems to navigate legal proceedings effectively

• Maintain meticulous records of all customer interactions and legal procedures to ensure transparency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Familiarity with both federal and state court systems

• Experience in complex litigation, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

• Expertise in mass tort and its related legal complexities

• Knowledge of negligence law and the ability to evaluate potential negligence cases

• Proven experience in handling wrongful death claims, from initiation to resolution

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently

• Proficiency in using legal research tools and software

• Bachelor's degree in law or related field is preferred
