Description
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to contribute to the success of a dynamic team within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on financial and operational excellence, as well as compliance with safe work practices, reporting, and analysis. You will support the business through managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and part of audit and month-end activities.
Responsibilities:
+ Generating accurate and timely Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Financial Reports. Core tasks include:
+ Managing weekly payroll processing for hourly employees and recording associated journal entries.
+ Overseeing Kronos system maintenance, including updating employee profiles, departments, and wage rates.
+ Partnering with corporate accounts payable for efficient payable processing.
+ Handling accounts receivable functions, such as updating purchase orders in QAD, processing credit and debit memos, and recovering past-due accounts.
+ Coordinating intercompany transactions, including monitoring in-transit activities, debits, and pricing.
+ Preparing manual invoices as needed.
+ Completing monthly account reconciliations across General Ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
+ Managing and maintaining the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) daily checkbook.
+ Providing support for the physical inventory process, investigating variances, and conducting root cause analyses.
+ Performing audits of Bills of Materials and Routings to ensure accurate cost accounting.
+ Addressing cost discrepancies identified through QAD checklist reports, resolving broader cost-related issues when needed.
+ Assisting in creating daily reports for accountability meetings and supporting preparation of capital forecasts in collaboration with local management.
+ Monitoring the fixed asset ledger (FAS) and ensuring alignment with the General Ledger.
+ Ensuring regulatory compliance by completing and submitting government-mandated reports in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Contributing to various initiatives, including special projects and the annual budget process.
+ Acting as a backup for the Assistant Controller on cost-related tasks and supporting internal and external audits as required.
+ Upholding GAAP standards and resolving complex accounting or compliance issues in partnership with management.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance is preferred
+ Minimum of two years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive sector.
+ Familiarity with ERP systems or financial software platforms (experience with tools like QAD, Kronos, or similar systems is beneficial).
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
+ Organized and strong attention to details
+ Have high accuracy in data entry and work reporting
+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel - know formulas such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
+ 1 year+ of working with a manufacturing accounting system
+ Processed Accounts Payable and Receivable transactions
+ Capable to support with month-end activities
