BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - Legal Services

My client is seeking a Business Development Manager – Legal Services to help expand their footprint and deepen client relationships in the legal sector. In this role, you'll be instrumental in client acquisition, development, and retention, supporting their ambitious growth goals. What You’ll Be Doing
+ Develop and execute growth strategies tailored to the legal sector, partnering closely with cross-functional teams and leadership.
+ Collaborate with marketing, client success, sales, and operations to enhance the end-to-end legal client experience.
+ Drive new client acquisition and retention, consistently meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
+ Build deep industry expertise and maintain a strong network within legal circles—law firms, legal tech providers, and corporate legal departments.
+ Grow relationships with existing legal clients, identifying upsell opportunities and boosting referrals.
+ Use a consultative sales approach to scope, shape, and close complex service solutions—often involving long-term contractual agreements.
+ Represent the company at legal industry events, webinars, panels, and conferences to build visibility and credibility.
+ Lead client business reviews to reinforce our value proposition and uncover new avenues for growth.
+ Engage on platforms like LinkedIn to promote thought leadership, drive engagement, and enhance brand awareness within the legal space.
+ Analyze sales data and KPIs, providing insights that inform strategy and improve performance.
Requirements
+ A proven business development leader with experience selling services or solutions to legal clients (law firms, legal departments, legal tech, etc.).
+ Commercially savvy and results-oriented, with a clear understanding of legal industry dynamics, market challenges, and growth opportunities.
+ Skilled in building lasting, trust-based relationships across various levels of a legal organization—from managing partners to in-house counsel.
+ Able to navigate complex sales cycles and influence senior stakeholders through value-driven discussions.
+ Strong communication and presentation skills—both written and verbal—with a persuasive, client-first approach.
+ Familiar with sales and CRM tools (Salesforce, Power BI, Salesloft, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
+ Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and thriving in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
+ Willing to travel up to 50% for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
