Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Vice President, Ag Lending to join our banking team in Yankton, South Dakota. In this role, you will oversee the evaluation, authorization, and recommendation of agricultural loans while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and risk management. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth of our lending portfolio and support the financial needs of the agricultural community.

Responsibilities:

• Assist potential borrowers in completing initial loan applications, ensuring accuracy and requesting additional details as necessary.

• Analyze financial information for current and prospective clients to determine appropriate loan terms in alignment with policy guidelines.

• Maintain comprehensive loan documentation to ensure compliance with established policies and regulatory standards.

• Manage an individual loan portfolio, monitor risk, and address repayment concerns proactively.

• Develop solutions for loan repayment issues and communicate significant risks or problems to leadership in a timely manner.

• Meet with potential customers to understand their operations and offer tailored financial solutions, including credit options and bank products.

• Maintain accurate credit and lending records, ensuring proper servicing of loans, including payments, modifications, and information updates.

• Review overdrafts and balance sheets to identify new lending opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.

• Build and maintain a referral network to drive business development and expand customer relationships.

• Actively participate in community events to promote the bank and foster community engagement while generating new business opportunities. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Graduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of five years of experience in agricultural lending or related banking roles.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial data and manage risks effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships and collaborate with teams.

• Proven ability to develop and maintain a referral network for business development.

• Familiarity with banking products, credit analysis, and loan servicing processes.

• Demonstrated commitment to community involvement and business growth.
