Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Fresno, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the firm’s financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete accounting cycle using QuickBooks Online, including handling Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

• Prepare accurate financial statements for review by firm leadership.

• Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

• Manage client billing and invoicing through legal industry-specific software.

• Monitor overdue invoices and collaborate with firm partners to address payment issues.

• Process firm expenses and credit card transactions efficiently.

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements to maintain financial accuracy.

• Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and communication with attorneys and staff.

• Support paralegal duties as needed, under the supervision of attorneys.

• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors to facilitate financial reviews and audits.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a law firm or meticulous services setting.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with legal billing software is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a composed demeanor.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

• Associate degree in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
