Description We are looking for a dedicated Credentialing Specialist to join our team in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring providers meet credentialing requirements for smooth billing and reimbursement processes. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage detailed documentation while interacting with providers and insurance representatives.
Responsibilities:
• Collect and organize licenses, certifications, and other necessary documentation from providers to facilitate detailed billing processes.
• Complete provider enrollment applications for various payers and assign providers to group billing numbers to ensure reimbursement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for credentialing and re-credentialing processes to prevent disruptions in cash flow.
• Follow up with third-party payers to expedite insurance enrollment and resolve any related issues.
• Collaborate with newly hired or contracted providers to guide them through the insurance enrollment process.
• Communicate effectively with providers, billing managers, and organizational personnel regarding enrollment updates and processes.
• Ensure insurance provider numbers are accurately communicated to supervisors and managers for system entry.
• Track and manage departmental logs and spreadsheets to maintain updated records of credentialing and re-credentialing activities.
• Address and resolve provider enrollment issues promptly, adhering to established timelines. Requirements
• Proficiency in CRM and EHR systems to manage credentialing processes efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of compliance standards and credentialing procedures.
• Proven experience in credentialing and re-credentialing processes.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills to maintain detailed records.
• Ability to communicate effectively with providers, insurance representatives, and internal teams.
• Strong follow-up skills to ensure timely completion of enrollment and credentialing tasks.
• Experience in managing logs and spreadsheets for tracking credentialing activities.
