• Director of Treasury

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Syracuse, NY)


    Description

    Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Syracuse client of his to hire a Director of Treasury. This position will provide the rare flexibility of allowing you to work from home most of the time (unless you prefer to be in their office, that is ok too). Benefits here are terrific and work life balance is solid. This position will report into the CFO and help oversee the financial operations of the organization. This critical leadership role will focus on optimizing cash flow, managing financial risks, and fostering strong relationships with banking partners while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the company’s treasury function, including cash management, forecasting, and liquidity planning.

    + Develop and execute strategies to optimize cash flow, working capital, and capital structure.

    + Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions, including oversight of credit facilities and banking agreements.

    + Oversee treasury operations including payment processing, cash positioning, bank account management, and compliance with internal controls.

    + Monitor and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate, currency, and counterparty exposure.

    + Partner with accounting, FP& A, legal teams to align treasury strategies with broader financial objectives.

    + Lead the development and implementation of treasury systems and tools to improve efficiency and reporting.

    + Provide leadership in debt management, investment of excess cash, and capital market transactions as needed.

    + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.

    + Prepare and present regular updates to executive leadership on treasury matters, financial performance, and risk exposure.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s, MBA or CPA is an asset).

    + Progressive treasury or corporate finance experience.

    + Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

    + Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
