Description

We are looking for a skilled part-time Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Wake Forest, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute to financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in key accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments.

• Perform general ledger reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure cash flow accuracy.

• Prepare and post journal entries with precision and attention to detail.

• Assist in the month-end close process to finalize financial statements.

• Utilize NetSuite for accounting tasks and reporting.

• Create and analyze spreadsheets using VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

• Support the implementation of new systems or processes as needed.

Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in accounts payable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.

• Strong understanding of journal entries and month-end close procedures.

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to adapt to new tools and processes efficiently.
