About Us: Please enter some information about your company here. Responsibilities: * We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced part-time Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and strong analytical skills. Requirements: Process bi-monthly payroll for over 100 employees across multiple states and entities. Verify timesheets, calculate wages, and input data into the payroll system (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto). Ensure payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. Handle tax and benefits deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related adjustments. Prepare and distribute payroll reports for finance and management. Maintain and update employee payroll records. Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, tax forms, and other payroll-related concerns. Stay current with changes in state tax laws and payroll regulations. Support audits and compliance activities related to payroll. Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies. Qualifications: Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Experience: 2+ years of payroll processing experience required. Skills: Proficiency with payroll software (Rippling) and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of payroll tax and labor laws. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong communication and customer service skills. Experience with multi-state payroll processing. CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
