    Job Overview

     

    The Engineering Technician supports several key processes in the Engineering Department including Product Design, Quotation Activity, PO Review, BOM Management, and Troubleshooting Production and Testing issues.

    A Day In The Life

    + Primary point of contact and coordinator of new design requests

    + Create and/or check new transformer designs

    + Verify customer POs against design specifications

    + Create and update product BOMs in Syspro

    + Maintain library of customer drawings and specifications

    + Create and issue design documentation – Curves, Tech Data Sheets, etc

    + Communicate regularly with Sales and Production groups

    + Active Contributor to Safety and Continuous Improvement Teams

    + Other duties as assigned

    Skills and Experience

     

    + Technical Aptitude – Ability to Understand and Apply Technical Information

    + Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills – Comfortable with Frequent Communications with Internal and External Customers

    + 10 Years Experience in Manufacturing Focused Environment Desired

    + Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Access

    + Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor

    + Experience with Syspro, SAP, or other ERP/MRP software

    Education

    + Associates Degree in Engineering or Related Technical Field Desired, or 2 Yrs Equivalent Experience
