Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Conduct regular on-site visits of supervised clinical practice experience (SCPE) sites to evaluate student performance, ensure site adequacy, and foster professional relationships.
+ Assist in the direction, development, implementation, and evaluation of the clinical curriculum.
+ Provide guidance and direction to program staff and faculty involved in the second-year curriculum.
+ Network with appropriate offices and departments involved in medical and allied health education, and with external agencies useful or in support of the clinical education of students.
+ Develop SCPEs that meet ARC-PA standards.
+ Establish and evaluate clinical learning objectives and assessments.
+ Recruit, train, and orient clinical preceptors.
+ Create and disseminate educational materials and resources for preceptors.
+ Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director and Program Director.
Requirements
+ Master's degree required, doctoral degree preferred.
+ At least two years of healthcare experience.
+ At least one year of educational experience in a faculty leadership role preferred.
+ Knowledge of PA practice competencies.
+ Strong ability to develop and deliver medical course instruction.
+ Possesses an aptitude and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring physician assistant students.
+ Has an understanding of the role and scope of practice of a physician assistant.
+ Can work flexibly within a cohesive team environment.
+ Is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
+ Is a self-starter with demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, adept at attention to detail and time management, with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
