    Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for **Senior Mainframe Application Engineer** to join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role.     Role: Senior Mainframe Application Engineer

     

    Experience: 10+ years of strong experience

     

    Required Skills: Mainframe Sort/Compare Utilities, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, Git, IDZ, Mainframe Focus

     

    Application enrichment & upgrade services / IBM Mainframe Utilities, CICS,VSAM,JCL,DB2,Cobol

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • The Engineering Manager will oversee the development and maintenance of IBM Mainframe systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

    • With a focus on CICS, VSAM, JCL, DB2, and Cobol, the role requires a strategic approach to managing projects and teams.

    • Experience in Cards & Payments is beneficial, enhancing the ability to drive innovation in financial services. The position is hybrid, with occasional travel required.

    • Candidate should also have very good knowledge and be hands-on in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2

    • Need to support offshore teams

    **Salary and Other Compensation** :

     

    The annual salary for this position is between depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
