    **Job Title:** Maintenance Technician Temp to Perm

    **Location:** New Britain, CT

    **Shift:** 1st Shift (Full-Time)

    **Pay:** $25/hour

    Overview:

    We’re looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined **Maintenance Technician** to support operations in our New Britain manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of production equipment and systems to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment

    + Troubleshoot and service motors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and conveyors

    + Conduct metal fabrication, welding, drilling, and other basic machining tasks

    + Install, maintain, and modify equipment and controls

    + Use meters and tools to diagnose and repair electrical systems and motor controls

    + Participate in a rotating on-call weekend schedule for emergency support

    + Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Skills & Qualifications:

    + Strong mechanical skills and ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment

    + Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems

    + Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics

    + Basic understanding of PLCs is a plus

    + Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

    + Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

    Education & Experience:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required

    + 1–2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred, especially in a manufacturing or steel processing setting

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

    + Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and handling of heavy equipment

    + Willing to work around dust, chemicals, and other industrial materials

    + Comfortable wearing required PPE including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and respirators

    Work Environment:

    + Work is performed in a production facility with moderate noise levels

    + The area is not climate controlled and may involve exposure to dust, heat, or other conditions

    **Pay Details:** $25.00 per hour
