**Job Title:** Inspector Associate
**Location:** New Britain, CT
**Shift:** 1st Shift (Full-Time) Temp - Perm
**Pay:** $18/hour
**Reports To:** Quality Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented **Inspector Associate** to support quality assurance operations in our New Britain manufacturing facility. This role is key to ensuring the quality and compliance of our parts and processes through all stages of production, from receiving to final inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Support:
+ Perform receiving inspections to verify dimensions and condition of incoming parts
+ Conduct in-process inspections and document results during production
+ Execute final inspections, including coating thickness, adhesion, cure validation, visual checks, and fluid resistance testing per internal procedures
+ Record daily lot inspection results and maintain inspection databases
+ Support process compliance by thermocoupling parts and charting time/temperature during curing
+ Review and document acceptance of lots before shipment
+ Issue Certificates of Conformance for completed lots
Quality Management System Support:
+ Maintain supplier qualifications and the Approved Supplier List
+ Complete contract reviews before final lot acceptance to ensure specification compliance
+ File, maintain, and archive quality records in accordance with retention policies
+ Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for non-conforming products or procedures
+ Calibrate measuring and testing equipment as scheduled and maintain calibration records
+ Generate purchase orders for repairs, services, and materials as needed
Environmental, Health, and Safety:
+ Complete all assigned safety training on schedule
+ Complete HAZCOM and HAZWOPER training; act as a first responder for operational-level incidents
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
+ High attention to detail with a commitment to quality
+ Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills
+ Familiarity with measurement tools and inspection procedures
+ Basic computer proficiency (data entry, database management)
+ Prior quality or inspection experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
