Seeking a shipping and receiving professional with at least 3 years of experience, domestic and international preferred.

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Shipping Team Lead / Supervisor to work in East Providence, Rhode Island. This is a first shift position paying $20-$25 per hr. temp-to-hire. Responsibilities:

+ Supervise the personnel of the shipping and packaging areas.

+ Supervise and participate in the fulfillment of all customer orders.

+ Inspect orders to ensure product manufactured matches customer requirements.

+ The work entails the physical movement and transactions (utilizing our MRP system) of all finished goods coming into or leaving the department.

+ Shipping requirements include the packaging of finished products, arranging carrier pick-ups, and completing all transactions with UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight forwarders, and Pitney Bowes multi-carrier systems.

+ Ensure all orders are shipped by the end of day and the department is prepped for the following workday.

+ Inventory control for multiple “finished” product lines.

+ Distribution of workload and coordination of workflow for the department.

+ Maintain accurate records of employee productivity and other records as needed.

+ Maintain strong management/associate relations, leadership by example.

+ Excellent attendance required during plant operations (Mon. through Fri. 8:00 am to 5:30 pm).

+ Report defective product or questionable condition to plant manager.

+ Contribute and adhere to safety and quality.

+ Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.

+ The ideal candidate is able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, has a strong willingness to learn and enjoys a team environment.

Qualifications:

+ Demonstrated ability to lead others through hands-on, active participation.

+ 3-5 years of shipping experience, international and domestic preferred.

+ Previous leadership experience.

+ Valid driver’s license.

+ Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Pitney Bowes procedures.

+ Excellent written/verbal communication.

+ Ability to lift objects up to 30-50 pounds on a regular basis and to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word).

**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
