Summary This position is located at with the JBLM Community Recreation Division - MWR Sports and Fitness (Intramural Sports). Responsibilities Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments. Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment. Ensures adherence to safety regulations and procedures. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assists with publicity of events and tournaments. Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. Applicants meeting both minimum qualifications and highly desired qualifications based upon answers in assessment AND experience reflected in resume will be referred to management for consideration first. Those meeting only the minimum qualifications will be referred only if management requests an additional list of applicants. Experience meeting qualification requirements, whether it is minimum qualifications or highly desired criteria, MUST be reflected in the resume to be considered eligible.
