VCA Animal Care Center is seeking a highly experienced Client Service Professional to join our leadership team as Client Service Supervisor to support our 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital. We have been serving our community and pets for over 40 years with a focus on excellent patient and client care.

    This position plays a key role in the hospital to ensure success related to the hospital providing quality patient care and excellent client service. Under direction from the Office Manager, the Client Service Supervisor performs a wide range of difficult-to-complex administrative activities related to quality patient care and excellent client service, management of finances and accounting, marketing and promotion of services, staffing and human resources, and discretionary activities that serve to support effective business operations.

     

    Applicant must be a reliable self-starter, motivated by a challenging, fast-paced environment. Strong candidates will have supervisory experience, a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor towards both animals and people, will be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and can demonstrate the importance and understanding of high-quality customer service.

    Tasks performed or supervised

    + Associate recruiting, development and management

    + Scheduling of associates

    + Client management

    + Medical records management

    + Responsible for the day-to-day client service areas of the front office and internally with departmental relations. This includes interviewing, training, coaching, developing, mentoring and disciplinary action as appropriate.

    + Direct on-the-job training to develop employee skill sets, advise employees of performance requirements with the standards of client service for the organization.

    + Assist Office Manager with day to day operations.

    + Resolve informal client complaints, maintain and report on these issues to the managment team.

    + Responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the front office to include enforcement of policies, procedures and protocols.

    + Identify and provide recommendations for potential problems, non-routine situations, work flow processes, and client service needs to the assistant hospital manager.

    + Make decisions on behalf of the department utilizing good judgment, which demonstrates the best interest of the hospital and the clients.

    + Assist in the development and delivery of employee evaluations for the administrative team in collaboration office manager.

    + Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of reporting tools and queries needed to manage the business.

    Required Skills

    The individual that we are seeking for this position should have a variety of skills to be successful in this position including but not limited too;

     

    + Able to handle multiple priorities at once

    + Able to provide excellent client service and coach a team of associates to the same expectation

    + Knowledge and ability to use a variety of computer systems in an efficient manner

    + Possess excellent leadership skills, ability to inspire, delegate and direct

    + Strong organizational skills

    + Strong client relations and interpersonal skills

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills

    + Strong supervisory skills

    + Self-starter and team player

    Required Qualifications

    _Education and Experience:_

    + High School Diploma or equivalent;

    + Supervisory experience in a client relations position

    + Experience in Veterinary Industry or relatable industry

    _Physical Requirements:_

    + Valid Driver's license

    + Willing and able to stand for periods of time

    + Allergies to animals must be controllable through medication

    + Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

    + Must be willing to work irregular hours under pressure conditions

    + This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day

    + Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records; recognizes people and understands written directions

    + Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephone

    + Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and computer keyboards

    Work Schedule

    • 40 hours per week, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays

     

    Compensation

     

    $26 - $29/hr

    Our 24 hour veterinary specialty hospital offers specialty and emergency care including Emergency and Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Surgery. We are fully equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment that includes MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, and Fluoroscopy.
