    An excellent career opportunity is available for a Maintenance Mechanic – Level 2, located at UOP's Research, Pilot Plant, and Manufacturing facility in McCook, IL.

     

    Job responsibilities include repair and service of pumps, compressors, seals, packing and bearings to support R&D Pilot Plant and laboratory facilities; and working with all types of hand tools to complete troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and/or modifications to equipment. You will be expected to complete all work using safe work practices as defined by Honeywell. The Maintenance Mechanic supports both R&D pilot plants and manufacturing plants at this facility.

     

    While the job is based out of the McCook, IL facility, you must be capable of working at our Des Plaines facility if the site requires support.

     

    The annual base salary range for this position is <$min 55000.00 - $mid 68800.00>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

     

    The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    *High School Diploma or GED is required.

    *Able to follow all established safety procedures and protocols.

    *Working knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings.

    *Experience and skill working with hand tools.

    *Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds, work on elevated platforms as well as climb ladders and portable lifts.

    *Must be able to be on call one week a month to work emergency overtime on short notice.

    *Understanding and use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

    *Excellent verbal communication skills.

    *Capable of working infrequently at our facility in Des Plaines, IL.
