Manager - Cost Accounting
Job Description:
Manager - Cost Accounting positions offered by Safran Seats USA, LLC (Gainesville, TX). Develop, analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information to improve measurements and understanding of third-party partner performance, inventory management, and gross margin. Oversee assigned general ledger account reconciliations and detailed account analyses to ensure the integrity of the general ledger accounts. Identify, develop and implement process improvements to drive continued department efficiency and accuracy. Ensure proper cross training and adequate desktop procedures across the team and partners. Maintain accurate inventory master data through the establishment, maintenance and ongoing audit of processes related to bill of materials and inventory set-up. Coordinate with Supply Chain/Operations management on physical inventory counts and assess the financial controls/procedures, participate in audits and evaluate results. Review analytical forecasts of inventory. With heightened attention to detail research and correct standard costing and relate variances. Manage massive datasets (Excel, Power Pivot, and Power BI queries) for tracking 3.5M movements within inventory per month in a wide number of business operations. Provide forensic accounting work within massive databases to address abnormalities. Assessment and preparation of monthly adjustment Journal Entries to record the outcome of monthly controls and analysis. Manage cost reduction programs with key operational teams. Manage the integration of new activities/processes as it relates to inventories and cost accounting. Implement revisions of scoping and methodologies of standard costing. Direct and establish and review tracking of key performance indicators to Executive management. Support and advise Operational Functions in the framework of transverse projects, changes management, continuous improvement and training. Provide the expertise in matter of inventory valuations and industrial accounting within the Business Unit. Identify and promote axis of improvement for Company's industrial performance. Promote the ad equation and effectiveness of resources, systems, processes, and internal controls in place for meeting Group and Company standards. Provide a relevant analysis and a reliable forecast of the flows in, out, and within inventories. Perform monthly closing basis for the gross and net valuations of inventories of purchased goods, work in progress, semi-finished and finished goods. Provide expertise for inventories and cost accounting as it relates to the ERP system and support the migration to a new ERP as it relates to this function. Lead in analysis of outsourced processing, work in progress, semi-finished goods, finished goods and goods in transit, within a number of industrial perspectives. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback/coaching and development support.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or a related quantitative field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in finance or accounting position. 2 years of stated experience must include: manufacturing production; and cost accounting in a standard cost environment. 1 year of stated experience must include supply chain experience. Stated experience must include: forensic accounting; ERP experience including SAP, Oracle, Hyperion or similar; reconciliation; monthly financial reports analysis; developing cost control measures; developing custom applications and reports; technical accounting skills; Microsoft Excel including experience with Vlookup, pivot tables, conditional functions, and finance modeling; and forecasting skills.
