Job Title: Regulatory & Product Safety Associate

Shift: First

Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $70K+ (Depending on experience)

Skill Requirements:

Education: BA/BS degree in the natural sciences, chemistry, toxicology, or a related field

Experience:

+ 1–2 years of relevant experience

+ Safety Data Sheets (SDS) experience is a MUST

+ Basic knowledge of chemicals

+ Understanding of CFAs and raw materials

+ Familiarity with basic regulatory concepts

Pluses: (Not required but a plus)

+ Prior work experience in the consumer products industry

+ Experience with safety assessment for Drugs (OTC/NDA), Biocides, Cosmetics, or Cleaning Products

+ Background in consumer or healthcare product industries

Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Support assigned projects and existing product portfolio by clearing raw materials and final formulae to ensure consumer safety and regulatory compliance

+ Review current products for compliance with evolving US and Canadian regulatory/product safety requirements for Cosmetics, Medical Devices, Disinfectants/Biocides, OTC/NDA Drugs, and general cleaners

+ Respond to customer inquiries about raw materials and formulae used in the product portfolio

+ Coordinate with R&D teams and suppliers to author and maintain accurate, timely Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

+ Consult with internal stakeholders and external consultants to define product safety needs and timelines for new product initiatives based on regulatory positioning
