Position General Responsibilities:

This position is accountable for the direct supervision of mortgage operations staff to ensure efficient processing and closing of secondary market loans. This position is responsible for all facets of the workflow, from the time the application packet is sent to processing to the closing and disbursement of the loan. Duties emphasize working as a team player with the entire staff to achieve the goal of efficient processing and closing of real estate loan transactions and relieving Real Estate Loan Officers of administrative detail.

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalency

2. Excellent customer service skills.

3. Strong communication and organizational skills

4. Must be able to work independently and to prioritize multiple tasks

5. Previous experience in processing, closing, or general mortgage operations.

Preferred:

1. Previous supervisory experience.

2. Strong computer knowledge and program skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other Bank related software

Position Specific Responsibilities, Duties and Competencies

Supervisor Responsibilities:

1. Aid in developing and maintaining procedures and look for ways to improve workflow efficiency whenever possible.

2. Provide support and resources for employees to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in their positions.

3. Keep staff up to date with any new developments, products, and training

4. Establish clear performance expectations and ensure that customer service and quality standards are consistently maintained in their role.

5. Participant in interview and hiring process, as well as performance reviews; including ongoing training and supervision.

6. Manage PTO requests to ensure adequate staffing.

7. Conduct regular meetings as well as attend department meetings for other roles in the process.

8. Exercise sound time management and prioritization skills, as well as consistent decision-making skills.

9. Promote employee relations that encourage effective communication with management

10. Other duties as assigned.

Loan Processing Duties:

1. Accurate completion of loan application data input.

2. Review file documentation and validate and update information from credit documents into Loan Origination System.

3. Run regulatory compliance checks and prepare file for underwriter review.

4. Assist Loan Officer with obtaining information and/or documentation needed to complete and process application.

5. Act as a liaison between sales and operations to meet closing deadlines.
