    Description of Job: The Labeling Specialist prioritizes global label projects and leads the development of artwork design for completion within production demand and registration timelines. Coordinates closely with international affiliate regulatory staff, third party art design team, brand management and internal legal affairs group to develop, route and release labels for use that are compliant to all local laws.

    Principal Responsibilities:

    + Manages communication with Domestic/International Marketing Managers, MPS, Production, Legal and Regulatory Affairs groups to ensure labels are available to meet production demand. Manage communication with regulatory and International affiliates and/or distributors to comply with their regulations and business needs.Set up new

    + SKU labels for purchase availability using knowledge and understanding of packaging Bill of Material requirements and product portfolio timetables.

    + Prepares status reports for monitoring artwork. Coordinates with third party label design team as well as with international affiliates to ensure timely completion of labels.

    + Forwards completed artwork copy to Regulatory Affairs, Affiliates and/or Distributors for submission to regulatory agencies for approval.

    + Maintains label control and project databases, for label artwork management and archival.

    + Provides backup/overflow support for labeling team projects.

    + Participates as labeling lead on cross-functional project teams.

    + Manages internal labeling reports for artwork changes and new items (label change requests, Open Label Projects, etc.).

    + Helps manage product portfolio inventory and control within SAP for label communication changes. Manages MDO (Material Destruction Orders) for optimal change control against orders.

    + Ensures label, artwork and proofs are approved against label product market regulations. Responsible for proofing of text (where needed) and the design and layout of the label copy.

    + Monitor, elevate and recommend improvements to labeling processes, quality, system tools and/or policies.

    + Exercises judgement within defined standard operating procedures and specifications.

    + Helps develop and review department processes and procedures to ensure speed and accuracy of projects.

    + Helps facilitate and prioritize the label projects within country contacts, regulatory and Supply Chain.

    + Responsible for the collection of necessary information to create product labels for global distribution.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Strong project organization and management skills with attention to detail.

    + Demonstrated ability of communicating and working well in a cross-functional role

    + General knowledge of redlining and editing pharma documents (quality document experience a plus)

    + Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and SAP is preferred.

    + Proven success in a high paced copy-editing environment involving highly technical and regulated labels

    + Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is helpful for working with Latin America affiliates.

     

    Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of previous project management required with focus on leading cross-functional teams.

     

    Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

    Base Pay: The estimated hourly rate for this position ranges from:

    $36.63 to $43.94. Individual pay is based upon location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
