Description
As the Director of Human Resources, you will manage, develop, and direct the human resource functions as it relates to our team members regarding employee relations, talent development, hiring, training and education, employee engagement, and company policies and practices. You must have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, collaborate and partner with leadership and employees while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning
• Develop and manage the talent management process including assessing the appropriate staffing and skills needed, attracting and recruiting talent, hiring, checks, onboarding, career growth and enhancement, engagement and retention.
• Identify key areas of risk with risk mitigation plans in alignment with our company objectives in compliance with federal, state, local laws and regulations and company policies.
• Intentionally develop a culture of appreciation and celebration via engagement events, years of service recognition and additional activities.
• Nurture a positive and productive working environment that aligns with our core values.
Coaching and Partnering
• Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the company’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to conflict resolution, talent recruitment and management, training, and education.
• Provide support and guidance to management and other staff when complex and sensitive questions and issues arise. Administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances. Includes assessing requests for reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
• Analyze employee data for indicators, integrity and company-wide consistency.
Build a Competitive Organization
• Create and manage the talent management process including, but not limited to, market competitiveness, performance evaluations, coaching and counseling, performance improvement, and career development.
• Identify training needs for business units and individual employees and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on education programs.
• Implement recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds.
Leadership and Financial Responsibility
• Manage all HR Staff, activities, communications and reports.
• Manage the HR budget including vendors and contractors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Preferred 7 years of varied Human Resource experience including 3 years of management experience.
• SHRM-CP preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrate active listening.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to create and communicate new processes and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
• Conduct all activities with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Thorough knowledge and ability to be current in the areas of employment laws and regulations.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Paycor (or similar HRIS).
• Knowledge of Union Collective Bargaining Agreements is preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license, acceptable insurance, and be able to drive to all Company facilities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
