    Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

    Job Description

    The Chief Financial Officer will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including the closing of books on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and prepare financial reports for consolidation with the global parent company. This role involves creating, monitoring, and managing budgets, financial plans, and estimates to achieve financial goals while performing ad-hoc analyses for business development. Collaboration with senior leadership is essential to develop and implement strategic plans, including investment plans and financial statements.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee accounting operations and prepare financial reports.

    + Create, monitor, and manage budgets and financial plans.

    + Perform ad-hoc financial analyses for business development.

    + Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic financial plans.

    + Manage reserve methodology to minimize financial risk.

    + Ensure cash flow meets business and financial operations expectations.

    + Manage CapEx budget and align processes with senior leadership.

    + Identify, assess, and control financial risks while ensuring compliance.

    + Establish and improve business controls for compliance with standards.

    + Utilize business analytics to support commercial performance management.

    + Ensure Finance & Insurance operations comply with policies and regulations.

    + Act as primary contact for external legal counsel.

    + Delegate customer service issues to VP Operations.

    + Ensure compliance with insurance, licensing, and operational requirements.

    + Work with parent company tax resources for compliance and optimization.

    + Engage cross-functionally to advance company-level priorities.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience in finance, accounting, and financial reporting.

    + Strong skills in budgeting and financial analysis.

    + Progressive career in accounting/finance roles.

    + Experience leading large finance teams.

    + Ability to direct the financial trajectory of a company.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Retail finance experience is preferred.

    + Experience in a large company environment.

    + Possession of CFO experience is preferred.

    Work Environment

    The position is fully onsite with some flexibility, although there is no set hybrid schedule. The company is a stable, well-established entity that has been part of the Kansas City market for 75 years, supported by a multi-billion dollar global entity.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $225000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
