Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Senior Staff Application Engineer** to join our team focusing on **DDR5 Power** solutions. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving the design, implementation, and optimization of DDR5 memory systems, specifically focusing on power delivery, power consumption, and performance efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to ensure that DDR5 power systems meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
+ **DDR5 Power Management** : Lead the development and validation of power delivery systems for DDR5 memory technologies, including power sequencing, voltage regulation, and overall power consumption optimization.
+ **System-level Analysis** : Conduct in-depth analysis of DDR5 power behavior, identify performance bottlenecks, and develop strategies to enhance system power efficiency without compromising performance.
+ **Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams** : Work closely with memory subsystem architects, hardware engineers, and firmware teams to ensure DDR5 solutions meet performance, power, and thermal requirements.
+ **Design and Validation** : Develop and validate power models for DDR5 memory and memory controllers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This includes heavy bench measurements to collect data and validate full functionality of new products.
+ **Tool Development** : Create and maintain bench automation software for data collection, as well as simulation models and tools to analyze DDR5 power consumption at various system levels (e.g., chip, board, and system).
+ **Customer Support** : Provide technical support for DDR5 power-related issues during product development and integration phases. Work directly with customers to resolve complex power-related challenges.
+ **Documentation and Reporting** : Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, power analysis reports, and test plans to support internal and external stakeholders.
+ **Continuous Improvement** : Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and best practices in DDR5 and memory technologies. Drive continuous improvement in power efficiency and performance metrics.
Qualifications
+ **Education** : Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
+ **Experience** : 7+ years of experience in power management, memory system design, or related fields, with at least 3+ years focused on DDR5 or similar high-speed memory technologies.
+ **Expertise** : Strong understanding of DDR5 memory architecture, power delivery, voltage regulation, and power consumption.
+ **Skills** :
+ Expertise in power modeling and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, etc.).
+ Proficient in hardware design tools, including PCB design and layout.
+ Strong knowledge of power integrity, voltage regulation, and related power components.
+ Hands-on experience with DDR5 JEDEC standards and protocols.
+ Familiarity with power analysis tools and techniques for high-speed memory systems.
+ Experience working with power delivery solutions for DDR5 memory in high-performance computing or server environments - it's preferable.
+ Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for automation and tool development.
+ Relevant certifications in power management or memory system design are a plus.
