Responsibilities
Join Community Hospital of San Bernardino as a Wound Care Nurse, where your clinical expertise and leadership will drive high-quality, compassionate care for patients with complex wound, ostomy, and continence needs. In this vital role, you will lead our Wound Care Program, setting standards of care, supporting interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Coordinate and oversee the hospital’s Wound Care Program, ensuring consistent standards of clinical excellence.
+ Assess, plan, and deliver individualized care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, ostomies, or continence needs.
+ Collaborate closely with medical staff, nursing teams, and specialized units including Neuro Care and Children’s Sub-Acute.
+ Provide education and training to staff, patients, and caregivers to promote optimal healing and preventive practices.
+ Participate in hospital-wide quality initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts related to wound care management.
+ Serve as a clinical resource and advocate for evidence-based wound care practices throughout the organization.

Qualifications
+ Minimum three (3) years Registered Nurse experience in the emergency department, critical care, or medical/surgical care in an acute setting
+ Must have at least two (2) years of full-time or four years of part-time wound care experience that must have taken place in the last five (5) years, either in direct hands on, management, education or research
+ Wound care experience must be a component of daily licensed job duties
+ Experience includes acute care and must be able to be certified in wound care within one year of date of hire
+ Bachelor’s (BS) degree in Nursing required
+ Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse Program
+ Current California Registered Nurse license and Basic Cardiac Life Support required

Pay Range
$48.96 - $74.06 /hour
