Schedule: Full-Time. Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $16.50 - $20/hour

Power-Flo Technologies, headquartered in New Hyde Park, is seeking a Field Mechanic Helper to join our Pump and Motor Repair Team.

What You’ll Do:

+ Assist mechanics with cleaning, painting, testing, and disassembling AC/DC motors & pumps.

+ Clean parts

+ Maintain the tool areas

+ Help troubleshoot & repair pumps, motors, and fans in-shop and on-site.

+ Use power tools, hand tools, and a multimeter for repairs.

+ Assist with the replacing & wiring of electric motors at job sites.

What You Need:

+ Mechanical/technical skills & experience with hand/power tools.

+ Ability to troubleshoot electrical & mechanical systems.

+ Basic PC knowledge & strong communication skills.

+ Valid driver's license (clean for 7 years).

Physical Requirements:

+ Stand for up to 8 hours, lift 50 lbs, and work on ladders/platforms.

+ Exposure to dust, loud noise, and temperature changes.

+ This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching

+ Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
