Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Job Description
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventories through timely and precise inventory transactions, including shipping, receiving, and stock movements. The role involves managing the cycle count program and ensuring any inventory discrepancies are reconciled efficiently. The Inventory Control Analyst will coordinate and execute weekly cycle counts at all stockroom locations, monitor current inventory levels, track orders, and investigate problems.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain accurate inventories through timely and precise inventory transactions.
+ Manage and maintain the cycle count program, ensuring inventory accuracy.
+ Coordinate and execute weekly cycle counts at all stockroom locations.
+ Monitor current inventory levels, track orders, and investigate problems.
+ Maintain database, perform physical counts of inventory, and reconcile actual stock counts with computer-generated reports.
+ Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment.
+ Develop and implement improvements to operational procedures to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
+ Monitor product codes to identify discrepancies and troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and system records.
+ Collaborate with Production Control Coordinators, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, and Material Control Specialist to ensure efficient material staging.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory management.
+ Proficiency in using forklifts and handling cycle counts.
+ Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and inventory reconciliation.
+ Experience with SAP and Oracle systems.
+ Two years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment with inventory control and cycle counting.
+ Proficient in maintaining Excel spreadsheets for inventory management.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
+ Detail-oriented with accurate document control and record-keeping skills.
+ Physical ability to lift 25 pounds and perform tasks requiring physical agility.

+ Must provide a birth certificate or passport before accepting the job.

Work Environment
The work environment is an indoor shop within a defense and security company providing innovative protective technologies. Work hours vary weekly, with an expectation of overtime and weekend work. Employees are required to wear steel-toed shoes or boots, work jeans or pants, and a plain T-shirt. The role demands flexibility in working hours, including starting shifts as early as 6 AM and working three Saturdays a month.

This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
