Job Title: Engineering Technician IIJob Description
This role involves performing activities related to the commissioning and installation of systems and equipment. The candidate will conduct system check-outs and engage in advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting as necessary. This position requires testing mechanical and electrical panels, connecting panels to respective machines, and troubleshooting mechanical components of custom equipment. Additionally, the candidate will install control panels, troubleshoot and debug equipment alongside the engineering team, and work directly from schematics and blueprints.
Responsibilities
+ Perform system commissioning and installation of equipment.
+ Conduct system check-out and advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
+ Test mechanical and electrical panels containing components such as CAT5, electronics, and servos.
+ Connect panels to respective machines per schematics.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical components of custom equipment.
+ Install control panels for machines.
+ Troubleshoot and debug equipment with the engineering team.
+ Work directly from schematics and blueprints.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in engineering, electronics, test equipment, and testing.
+ Experience in system integration and automation.
+ Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to work with schematics, wiring, and mechanical calibration.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical manufacturing or electrical technician roles.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in reading and working from blueprints and electrical schematics.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in capital equipment manufacturing.
+ Minimum of 2 years experience in mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.
+ System integration experience is highly advantageous.
Work Environment
The work environment is a clean, state-of-the-art facility specializing in proprietary laser machines for various industries, predominantly Aerospace. The facility houses around 55-60 employees and is part of a larger corporation headquartered in Italy. Initially, work will be conducted in the shop, with potential travel of 10-20% for equipment installation and commissioning at client sites. Interaction with customers is expected, requiring the ability to handle oneself in challenging environments, particularly when addressing urgent service calls.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
