    Job Title: Electrical Engineer or Designer

    Job Description

    + We are seeking an Electrical Engineer or Designer to support a MEP backlog of work.

    + The role involves starting new projects and assisting with existing ones for various clients.

    + The successful candidate will perform engineering design calculations and evaluations, lead project engineering design, and ensure compliance with building codes.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform engineering design calculations and evaluations specific to building codes.

    + Lead project engineering design with knowledge of NYS Building Codes and industry standard design recommendations.

    + Design electrical systems from pre-schematic phase, including energy modeling analysis, energy code compliance calculations, opinion of probable costs, and life cycle cost analysis.

    + Conduct field site visits during the design phase to document existing conditions across upstate regions, with mileage reimbursement provided.

    + Provide construction administration support including submittal review, RFI responses, periodic site visits for compliance, and punch listing.

    + Occasional travel required with reimbursement at GSA mileage rate.

    + Experience in K-12 or Federal projects is required.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in REVIT.

    + Minimum of 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience.

    + Ability to work semi-independently with minimal guidance.

    + Strong understanding of electrical design, MEP design, and building codes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in drafting electrical plans.

    + Knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems.

    + Spec writing is a significant advantage.

    Work Environment

    + The position is based onsite at the Rochester office, working alongside the Mechanical Engineer and Architectural team.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
