    Job Title: Surveillance SpecialistJob Description

     

    This role is part of the product engineering team, focusing on sustaining engineering. The team is responsible for managing changes to medical devices after commercialization, ensuring that any changes in raw materials do not harm the original product. This position involves digging through documentation, working through regulations, and sometimes performing remediation of these files. It is primarily computer-based, involving documentation analysis, organization, and alignment with healthcare quality management standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and sustain engineering changes for commercialized medical devices.

    + Ensure product integrity amidst changes in raw materials.

    + Analyze and organize documentation to comply with healthcare quality management.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

    + Perform remediation of files as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in surveillance, medical devices, and biology.

    + Strong data management and quality regulatory skills.

    + Experience with PLM, Excel, and product development management software.

    + Bachelor's degree.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Exceptional skills in Excel; experience with life cycle management software or QMS is a plus.

    + Detail-oriented with data and systems experience.

    + Report writing experience.

    + Knowledge of medical devices, anatomy and physiology, and dental terminology is advantageous.

    + Familiarity with dental products is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This is a hybrid role, eventually moving to a specified location. The work schedule is an 8-hour shift between 7am-5pm, supporting sites in California and Brazil. The team consists of 18 people and values outgoing individuals comfortable with outreach to other internal teams.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.55/hr.
