Job Title: Machine Operator (Laser/Water Jet/Grinder)

Job Description

This position involves working at a steel company where you will handle incoming products and repurpose them. You must be open to training during the day and working on the 2nd or 3rd shifts. The facility includes various areas such as laser cutting, water jet cutting, shipping, receiving, grinding, saw cutting, and more. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in all areas, with the company determining where you fit best upon hire.

Responsibilities

+ Move your own materials using a forklift or an overhead crane.

+ Build custom pallets for packaging and shipping.

+ Load and unload trucks at the receiving docks.

+ Remove steel from racks and place it on machines using overhead suction cups and cranes.

+ Cut materials and prepare them for shipping.

+ Consistently lift and move up to 75 lbs.

+ Convert fractions and decimals as required.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to use a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch.

+ Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

+ Capability to lift and push/pull 75 lbs consistently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maumee, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
