Job Title: Yard Worker

Job Description

This role involves working around the landfill and performing various laborer duties. These include moving materials, checking and changing pumps, digging, inspecting, and using basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

+ Move materials around the landfill.

+ Check and change pumps as needed.

+ Perform digging and inspection tasks.

+ Utilize basic hand tools effectively.

+ Engage in general labor duties.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of general laborer experience.

+ 2+ years of experience using hand tools.

+ Experience in yard work, construction, heavy equipment operation, farming, landfill, or waste removal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions.

+ Construction, farming, or manual labor experience.

+ Willingness to perform laborer duties.

Why Work Here?

Employees are given 20 hours of PTO to use each quarter, starting the quarter after hire. Holiday pay is provided while on contract, and raises are offered based on performance. There is also the opportunity to travel to other sites with per diem provided.

Work Environment

This position is set in a landfill environment, which is dirty and has an odor. The work is outdoors 100% of the time. The schedule alternates between Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday every two months, with occasional weekends required. Employees must be open to overtime, working between 40 - 60 hours per week, and may work 1-2 weekends a month. Weekend work is voluntary unless no volunteers are available, in which case, a sign-up sheet is used to fill slots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
