Quality Control Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician for a chemical manufacturing company specializing in industrial cleaning supplies. This role is primarily lab-based, performing essential tests on raw materials. However, it also involves inspection duties on the production line to ensure product quality. This position offers a dynamic work environment with responsibilities divided between the lab and the plant, requiring effective communication skills and adaptability.
Responsibilities
+ Perform basic lab tests such as pH, specific gravity, viscosity, and titrations on raw materials and batch samples.
+ Calculate batch adjustments when necessary.
+ Inspect packaging lines to ensure conformance to specifications, including fill weight, cap torque, label placement, and lot coding.
+ Document test and inspection results using both paper and electronic forms.
+ Review and maintain production records and files.
+ Inspect finished goods and received components for release.
+ Investigate quality complaints and nonconformances.
+ Maintain attention to detail and uphold professional integrity.
+ Communicate effectively with production staff and management.
Essential Skills

+ Ability to read, edit, proofread, and interpret documents such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and product labeling

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
