    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager to lead complex utility projects from initiation through closeout. The projects involve a variety of low voltage distribution work, both overhead and underground. This role requires visiting project sites as needed and offers a hybrid work schedule. Initially, more time will be spent in the office or at a Consumers Energy Service Center, transitioning to a more flexible hybrid role. Work locations include Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Lansing, and the Metro Detroit area.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead all phases of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.

    + Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project execution.

    + Work with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory stakeholders to meet or exceed scope, schedule, and budget expectations.

    + Track and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks.

    + Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.

    + Prepare status reports, forecasts, and presentations for clients and leadership.

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards.

    + Mentor and support project team members including coordinators and field staff.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

    + Proven project management and utility experience.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.

    + Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + PMP certification or equivalent preferred.

    + Experience related to utility work, including LVD, Substation, Transmission, Nat Gas, and underground utility.

    Work Environment

    The work environment involves a hybrid schedule, with office presence required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and remote work on Wednesday and Friday (if based in Grand Rapids, Lansing, or Kalamazoo). Travel to sites is considered billable work, with mileage reimbursed. The office in Northville is a brand new, state-of-the-art modern workspace, which encourages employees to come in and utilize the space.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.
