Job Title: Civil Engineer IIJob Description

A Civil Engineering Consulting firm is urgently seeking a Civil Engineer II to join their dynamic team. This role involves a blend of design and drafting responsibilities, with a focus on various civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in the preparation of site layouts, subdivision plans, site plans, public improvement plans, drainage studies, grading studies, floodplain studies, and adjoining owner notifications.

+ Perform utility layout including horizontal and vertical design, grading, street design, stormwater management facilities, open channel flow, storm and sanitary sewer design, and erosion and sedimentation controls.

+ Utilize ACAD 2004 and other relevant software proficiently.

+ Communicate effectively with clientele and local government agencies, attending meetings or conferences as necessary.

+ Support the planning and surveying departments with feasibility studies, zoning submittals, and survey functions as workload permits.

Essential Skills

+ Degree in Civil Engineering

+ 1-6 years of experience in drafting/designing commercial and/or residential communities

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD

+ Experience with Civil 3D is a major plus

+ EIT certification is preferred or a plan to sit for the FE exam

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience putting together site plans

+ Experience in stormwater management design and drainage design

+ Project engineering and management skills

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
