Position Summary Information
Position Summary
This Accounts Payable position is responsible for entering financial transactions accurately and promptly using SAP and SourcePoint ( SAP ARIBA ), reconciling accounts (such as GR/IR), and utilizing reporting tools and Microsoft Excel to resolve account inquiries and provide reports.
Travel processing and management is a large part of this position. This involves processing travel requests and expenses, training staff on travel tools and policy, and managing the travel card program, including travel card issuance, and ensuring compliance with travel policy.
Additional duties include processing various forms of payments ( ACH , checks, wire transfers), voiding checks, and reconciling financial documentation including 1099s and stale-dated checks. This position supports audits and assists customers by providing data, reviewing vendor statements, and providing feedback.
Assisting in implementing process improvements and understanding and ensuring PASSHE and university policies are adhered to are also essential. Attention to detail, Microsoft Excel experience, strong communication, and excellent customer service are all keys to success in this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or an associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits in accounting; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. A successful campus interview and passing a criminal background check required.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who have a background in procurement reconciliation processes; experience processing travel reimbursements; knowledge of the SAP financial program; and experience with database management. Preference given to those who show evidence of team collaboration. Experience working in a human service or an educational environment and with diverse populations is also preferred.
