    Job Title: Apprentice Plumber

    Job Description

    We are seeking an Apprentice Plumber to join our dynamic team. Under the guidance of a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber, you will engage in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. This role offers a hands-on learning experience to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to advance your career in plumbing.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in the installation and repair of water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and related appliances and fixtures.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics.

    + Measure, cut, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools.

    + Work in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

    + Communicate effectively and follow directions while collaborating with other trades on-site.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in construction and plumbing.

    + Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics.

    + Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

    + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

    + Mechanically inclined with experience in piping and installations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience in new construction and commercial building projects.

    + Understanding of PVC and soldering techniques.

    + Experience in commercial construction and fitting installations.

    Work Environment

     

    The work schedule is from 7am to 3pm, requiring the use of PPE including a hard hat, vest, glasses, and steel-toed boots. The role involves working on projects such as breakrooms and restrooms, focusing on tasks like water closets, finish work, setting fixtures, venting, and domestic water flow. You will also perform underground work, set drains, and engage in sanitation installations.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
