Job Title: Class B CDL Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery and Yard Worker to handle product deliveries and yard operations. This role involves distributing a variety of items to customers promptly, managing yard tasks such as loading and unloading trailers, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will represent the company professionally, contribute to customer satisfaction, and support operational efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

+ Deliver products to various addresses using designated routes and schedules, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

+ Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles and yard equipment, including forklifts, saws, and shears.

+ Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, safety standards, and company protocols during deliveries and yard operations.

+ Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates, collect payments, address complaints, and inform them about new products or services.

+ Complete logs, reports, and documentation for deliveries and yard activities.

+ Load and unload trailers, organize materials, and maintain a clean and safe yard environment.

+ Read hand-drawn prints and follow detailed instructions to complete tasks independently or as part of a team.

+ Perform painting tasks using equipment and, if skilled, assist with torch cutting or stick welding as needed.

+ Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

+ Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B.

+ Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience (preferred).

+ At least 2 years of forklift operation experience.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with manual transmission vehicles.

+ Knowledge of saw and shear operations.

+ Torch cutting and stick welding skills.

+ Proven experience as a delivery driver and/or yard worker, with a clean driving record and no traffic violations.

+ Strong communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and supervisors.

+ Ability to read hand-drawn prints and follow detailed instructions.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

+ Capability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving job requirements.

+ Familiarity with operating equipment in various weather and traffic conditions.

+ Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54080.00/yr.
